Hundreds will descend upon our Route 26 location on Sunday July 21 to join our celebration of
Maine Open Farms Day. The annual event is sponsored by the Maine Department of Agriculture.
Farms all over the state open their doors each year on this day to show visitors what life is like on
the farm.

Owners Peter and Kathie Bolduc are inviting the public to
visit the farm for the day. They are planning a free, fun and
educational farm experience for the whole family. They’ll be
offering tours of the petting barn and the barnyard where
the public can get “up close and personal” with the animals
and learn facts about each of the farm animals. They will also
be providing free balloons for the children that tour the
Petting barn.

                                                        Attendees will also learn about the beginnings of the
                                                        Farm. The Farm dates back to the turn of the century
                                                        (1800-1900) when the Morey Family first owned the
                                                        farm from Boston. Enlargements of some of the
                                                        original antique photos of the farm dating back to
                                                        the early 1900’s will be on display along with news
                                                        write-ups about the farm written in the 1920’s.

Another of the popular spots will be the tasting tent.
Here visitors can purchase “Burgers for a Buck”.
Peter will be working the grill cooking their own
range fed beef burgers for only a dollar, his wife
Kathie and their four children will be busy with the
complimentary tasting table offering their own baked
breads, cookies and most popular, their fresh baked
whoopee pies. Admission to the Field of Dreams will be
Free for Open Farms Day.

                                                          Since taking over the property the Bolducs have
                                                          opened Pumpkin Land, The Big Corn Maze
                                                          Adventure and The Gauntlet Haunted Night Ride as
                                                          Fall venues and Winter Wonderland for the colder
                                                          months and the new summer venue, the Field of
                                                          Dreams Family Fun Park opened this summer. The
                                                          main farmhouse on Rte 26 has been completely
                                                          renovated and now houses both the Country Farm
                                                          Market and Farm House Pizza.
